Cookies policy
We do not add advertising or analytics cookies to this preview. This page explains browser storage and the role of Cloudflare’s default security protection.
Draft updated
1. What cookies and similar technologies do
Cookies are small pieces of information a website stores in your browser. Similar rules can apply to local storage, tracking pixels, fingerprinting and other ways of storing or accessing information on a device. A website can use these technologies for functionality, security, measurement or advertising.
2. What the application uses
The current Wiso application does not set cookies or use localStorage or sessionStorage. There are no advertising pixels or analytics scripts in the application. Fonts and site images are served with the website, without embedded third-party media.
Dialog choices, selected file details and an entered postcode are held temporarily in page memory to make the preview work. They are not persisted by the app or sent to a comparison service. Ordinary browser caching may retain website files to help pages load.
3. Cloudflare and security cookies
We use Cloudflare for website infrastructure with its default protection settings, rather than a custom tracking configuration. Security checks may use cookies even when the application itself does not set any. “Default protection” does not identify a fixed cookie inventory: the cookies involved depend on the Cloudflare services and checks applied to a visit. We therefore do not claim that the deployed website is completely cookie-free.
Examples include __cf_bm, used by certain bot-protection features and expiring after 30 minutes of inactivity, and cf_clearance, used to record successful security checks. These are examples of possible Cloudflare cookies, not a verified inventory for this website. Actual use and lifetimes depend on our configuration.
We have not treated optional Bot Fight Mode or other additional products as enabled merely because Cloudflare is in use. Before public launch, the deployed site must be checked and this inventory updated with any cookies actually used, their purpose, provider and duration. See Cloudflare’s cookie documentation.
4. Consent and your choices
There is no optional tracking in the current application, so it does not display a cookie consent banner. A banner is not needed simply because a website exists. Technologies that meet a legal exception, such as those strictly necessary to provide a service you request, may be used without consent; their purpose and use must still be assessed.
If we introduce technologies requiring consent, we will explain them and request your choice before activating them, with a way to withdraw consent. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking a necessary security cookie may prevent access to a protected site.
5. Other websites and updates
Following an external link takes you to a website with its own cookies and privacy practices. Any future affiliate tracking, embedded comparison tools or analytics will need a fresh review; this policy does not authorise those features.
For related information, read our Privacy policy. Questions can be sent to WISO LTD at info@wisosavings.com. We will update this page when our use of these technologies changes.
